Tea Introduction
Fu Jian Cinnamon Oolong Tea, known as "Rou Gui Oolong Tea," is a celebrated variety of oolong tea originating from the Wuyi Mountains in Fujian Province, China. The name "Rou Gui" translates to "cinnamon," referring to the tea's distinctive aroma, reminiscent of sweet cinnamon bark. This tea is prized for its complex flavor profile, which combines a robust roasted taste with floral undertones and a long-lasting sweet aftertaste. It is a favorite among oolong tea connoisseurs.
Tea Production Method
Rou Gui Oolong Tea is meticulously crafted using traditional methods that emphasize the unique terroir of the Wuyi Mountains. The process begins with hand-picking mature leaves during the spring or autumn harvest. The leaves are withered, shaken, and partially oxidized to develop their rich flavors. After oxidation, the leaves are roasted multiple times over charcoal to enhance their signature cinnamon-like aroma and deepen their flavor. The final result is a tea with tightly curled leaves and a rich, amber liquor.
